We acknowledge that domestic violence against women is real but we continue to ignore the men who are also victims of domestic violence. Men are beginning to out-number women as victims in today's climate. In the UK alone 1 in 6 men are victims of domestic violence. In the U.S. Male victims of domestic violence ring in at 835,000 men battered each year, thats one male victim every 38 seconds!
Numbers Crunch: → 60 seconds = 1 minute. 60 minutes = 1 hour. 24 hours = 1 day. 365 days = 1 year.
So 60 X 60 X 24 X 365 = 31,536,000 (seconds per year) divided by 835,000 battered men = 1 battered man every 37.77 seconds in the U.S. alone.
